Review: Modified News

Modified News is a commentary site, noting body modification (from the mainstream tattooing to the more underground suspension and scarification) as an industry and as a community.

This is a very informative blog with an assortment of news and information about the body modification industry. I found it to be quite interesting and very navigable.

It’s updated almost daily by Rebekah Harris and if you’re into body modification you have really got to check this one out.

Aside from the articles you’ll find an assortment of photos posted along with them, some of which depict people with full body tatoos.

As a blogger Rebekah is doing an outstanding job and definitely deserves her moment in the Bloggeries Spotlight.

Review: Laugh It Up, Fuzzball

This is a newly minted humor blog ranging in subject matter from entertainment to politics to pop culture, or is that all the same thing.

It’s updated on a regular basis, not daily but pretty close. Content consists of somewhat funny stories, there was one about the government using covert remote controlled sharks, it would be funnier though if it wasn’t true.

As for the content being funny I have to say it was readable and enjoyable but not the funniest blog I’ve ever read, I mean I’m not going to sit there and laugh my @$$ off reading about covert sharks and it actually pissed me off thinking about how our government wastes taxpayers money, of course how I feel about the government wasting taxpayer money has no effect on the rating of this blog.

Grading Scale

Well we’ve come up with the grading scale, here’s how it will work:

Each blog will be graded on 5 characteristics.

1. Content

2. Uniqueness

3. Activity

4. Appearance

5. Navigation

Each characteristic would be given 1 of 5 point values.

1. Poor – .20

2. Below Average – .40

3. Average – .60

4. Above Average – .80

5. Excellent – 1.00

SO, a blog that scored Excellent in content, activity, and navigation but only average in appearance and uniqueness, would recieve a total score of 4.20. If you round that, that would equal a grade of 4.
