Random Crap Online

blog reviewRandom Crap Online: random yes, online yes … crap? Not really. More like random anything. It has a good mix of compilations of just about anything:
Chess Boxing, Hot Soccer Wives, Paris Hilton’s video. You name it, it might be on there somewhere. As long as it’s of interest to people, it qualifies.
Random Crap Online is a very interesting blog to browse thru and read about stuff and stories that you normally don’t hear about. Well … “not hear about yet” rather.

The Lost Episode of the Smurfs is another video you need to watch.

There are 113 videos on this blog. It appears hi-tech and professional. None of what I’ve read was boring. It gets updated a week times a week, and never appears to be done out of a need to post.

I do recommend bookmarking it and showing some of it to your friends. Blogs like these are the reason blogs are successful. Anyone can get one and share something that excites him. Just a few minutes online, and you’re done.

At this point and time, my recommendation would be to keep on blogging. The more the better. It’s very refreshing to read thru a blog that doesn’t seem to be “forced”. Everything is put together naturally, as it would get the poster’s attention and he feels the desire to show it to others as well.

I give this blog a 4. I would love to review more like these, for me to read, bookmark and share with others.

iTamer.com – Simple SEO by SarahK

Blog ReviewSimple SEO by SarahK

The simple seo blog is simply great when it comes to information about various webmaster related subjects. Rare info, always at the pulse of the latest events and algorithm changes when it comes to keeping track of what the search engines are up to and what new software is out there to help control spam, improve your site and such matters of interest to webmasters and geeks. SarahK has been active on many message boards and reading her blog is like getting a good synopsis of them all without having to go thru thousands of posts and threads in order to find something that is new and useful.

Just like Threadwatch or Search Feature News, she is updating frequently and keeps a good mix of subjects.

Sarah shows a lot of dedication in analyzing what is done by others. She calls people on their own mistakes and gives suggestions on how they can improve their online presence. As a business owner, you should definitely bookmark her weblog and check back frequently.

Most of all I like her opinions in posts such as NoFollow Nonsense and Who said chicks don’t blog.

Now to the constructive criticism:

I would add pictures, some graphics, something visual. There is not enough of it. Let’s face it: most of us are lazy and would rather just look at a picture instead of reading a headline. Maybe if the blog was more categorized, like having a menu on top, a search box. Something more efficient than the archive.
It would make it easier for those in search of a quick help to just come in to read something they need to know about … and then come back as neeed. A newsletter wouldn’t hurt either.

The blog itself is great. Just a few things to help making it more popular, and everyone will know about the blog.

A definite “must visit” from me 🙂

Blog Review: Finding Financial Freedom Online

Rated 1 at BloggeriesI hate to see a blog such as Finding Financial Freedom Online not live up to its true potential. A lot of good information has been accumulated within a few days, yet it seems as if the writer got tired and went to sleep.

It’s been over a months now since the last blog entry. What has happened? Too many projects? Not enough time?
I think this leads us to a very common issue when it comes to blogging. People get excited for a minute and then lose momentum or motivation when they don’t start making a ton of money or start getting a lot of visitors right away.

Blogging takes time. It takes time to get started, known and respected as a journal worth visiting again and again. Looking at the Finding Financial Freedom Online ,I’m getting a lot of ideas right away on how to turn this into a site with so much more:

A blog, a static site, maybe a forum …

The first thing I would do is create some sort of a unique design, maybe a logo. Something to brand it. Moving it to another domain name wouldn’t hurt either, name recognition is often what gets one time visitors to come back and mention your site to others as well. If I was the owner of the blog, I would spend a couple of days asking for more feedback in forums, hire a couple of cheap freelance designers and find more content to add.

Create a long term plan and stick to it. Building traffic should be your number one concern after that. Submit your blog to good directories, sign up with bookmark sites such as Technorati and comment on blogs with related subjects. Not spam comments, but helpful ones giving you credibility with a link back to your very own blog.

Whatever you do, don’t stop moving – keep the progress going. You can’t make people go to your site, but you can do everything in your power to make your blog worth visiting … and then they will 🙂

If you blog it, they will come!
