Easy Vegan

Rated 3 at Bloggeries
Looking at the name of the blog, I thought that the blog would be about so called “benefits” (ethical and moral) of being a vegetarian and all, but I was wrong. It is more about animal rights and environment. Kelly is the owner of the blog and is also a vegan, animal lover, animal rights activist, and an environmentalist.

The blog is not very old, just about 3-4 months, but she updates frequently. Kelly mostly makes 2-3 posts everyday and sometimes even more. Wondering how she manages? Read more. The posts (not all, but most of them) generally revolve around taking some actions. For example: Signing petiton to save Tasmania’s Forests or Submitting an comment letter for saving the manatee (an endangered species).

Two things which I don’t like about the blog are that there are too many links in every post and the posts are very long. (some are too long to hold a person’s interest). The reason for this may be that many of the posts are actually the copies of the newsletters or letters by various animal rights organizations and organizations working for saving the environment. (I guess that also explains the reason for a large number of posts in the blog).

Now the good things. The posts are archived on a monthly basis and also categorized in different categories. The category list is neatly placed on the right. The categories include, “Action alerts”, “Environmental issues”, “Events”, “In the news” and many more.

Under the category section you can find the links section and this list is pretty long. There are 232 links (Yes I counted them!) in 20 different categories. These include links to, animal abuse societies, animal adoption centers, animal advocate’s society, and other vegan bloggers.

I think the rating of the blog would improve if the author makes her posts more presentable, by not copying and pasting letters and information from websites, but making them short and to the point.

The Travolution Blog

Rated 4 at BloggeriesThis blog is about online travel industry and is a part of the travolution company. The posts on the blog are made by the travolution staff and by some others whom the company call their “star bloggers”. The blog is more than one year old.

Here you can find news and articles related to airline industries, hotels and various travel related websites. The content is really interesting and varies from normal news like “Airline planning to provide in-flight mobile phone services to its customers”, to interesting articles like “Psychologist, Honey Langcaster James have outlined six profiles to categorise people according to thier pre-travelling packing habits!” and “American company planning to come up with a virtual hotel!”. For more you have to give the blog a visit.

The look of the site is good and the links are pretty useful. You can find links to some travel related sites and blogs like hotelesearch.com and travelweekly.co.uk, helpful for you if you are planning to travel.

The blog is very active as the content is updated nearly every day. I think the blog should be visited by not only those who are interested in travel industry but anyone who wants to pass time as you can find some really interesting news and articles.

She will keep you informed, entertained, and checking back what else she has posted. On the right hand side she is linking to some great resources such as Articles on Writing which alone make her blog a great site to be on. There are no garbage links in order to manipulate the search engines.
