Straight Men Can Learn a Thing or Two from Gay Mens Underwear Choices

We can all admit that gay men just know how to do a few things better than straight men. Perhaps this is a bit politically incorrect, but let’s face it, it’s 100% true. We’re not necessarily saying that gay men are always in the loop about the latest fashion trends and interior design fads, but generally speaking gay men have much better fashion sense than the straight guys.

This becomes especially apparent when you compare gay mens underwear to the underwear worn by straight men. If you’re a straight guy reading this and want to learn a thing or two about how to boost your underwear game, it’s time to take a few plays from this gay man’s underwear rule book.

Think About the Fit Before Anything Else

It doesn’t matter if you prefer a snug pair of tighty whities or you’re more of a boxer briefs fan, the first thing to focus on is the fit of your underwear. No matter how expensive those Calvin Kleins or Dolce and Gabbanas are, your underwear won’t look good if they don’t fit properly.

Gay men know that it is important to not just look at the size (like small, medium, or large) but also look at the specifications for each size depending on the manufacturer. One company’s small might be more similar to another company’s medium, so it is important to read into the actual measurements in order to get the best fit possible.

Gotwords.org talks about the importance of fit in relation to comfort and sex appeal: “Find ones that are comfortable for you. Comfort is important but also find ones that accentuate those three features (legs, ass, and junk).  Be sure they are comfortable, but also that they accentuate what you got going on and that stimulate you a little sexuality.”

Next, Consider Making a Statement

Just because your underwear isn’t as exposed as your shirt or pair of slacks does not mean it has to lack style or originality. Don’t be afraid to try something funky with your underwear choices. Go for a pattern or color you wouldn’t normally wear, like a nautical pattern or hot pink.

Or instead of your normal breezy boxers, a pair of sleek boxer briefs a try. There are plenty of designer and department store brands that go all out in terms of color and pattern. You can find everything from bright beachy briefs to flashy jockstraps. Trying something new and out of your comfort zone is a great way to get an unexpected boost in confidence.

Don’t Be Afraid to Ask Your Partner

It doesn’t matter if you are gay, straight, bisexual, or transexual, you should always feel comfortable asking your partner or partners for opinions. For some reason, a lot of straight men don’t believe in chatting about things like undergarments with their lady friends, but that way of thinking needs to stop ASAP. You should feel completely comfortable going to your partner for any type of life advice, including advice on underwear choices.

Bogoljub Karic – Pros and Cons of Using a Video Assistant Referee in Football, The VAR Debate

Ever since its inception the football world has been involved in debates around the use of technology in the game, in the form of a video assistant referee. Much like rugby, cricket and tennis, the idea of this technology is to give referees the option to review footage of an incident and then decide whether or not a particular decision should be made. VAR was used in the World Cup last year but again it split opinions in terms of whether or not this would be an advancement for the sport, or further bureaucracy taking over the beautiful game. My good friend Bogoljub Karic is very much against this, I am personally for it, and here are our reasons why.

The Case Against

Bogoljub Karic is a firm believer in the imperfection of football and he believes that it is this which VAR is going to spoil. Whilst many are calling for accuracy in the game he believes that mistakes are part and parcel of it and this is why VAR should not be introduced. Furthermore Bogoljub absolutely hates how VAR slows the game down as the decision is waited upon. For him the game should be littered with errors as it gives us something to moan and argue about, the game should be allowed to flow and most importantly, the refs should be allowed to do their job.

The Case For

For me VAR is the perfect solution to football’s woes and the best evidence of that was on display at last night’s Champions League game between Manchester City and Tottenham. Firstly we saw VAR being used when Llorente scored a 3rd for Spurs, with the ball having bounced off his elbow before hitting his hip and going in. The referee could clearly see the ball hitting the elbow but within the laws of the game this was not handball, and the goal stood. We then saw a controversial VAR decision as City won the game in the 93rd minute through Raheem Sterling, or so we thought. VAR was quick to tell us that Aguero had been offside and the goal was chalked off, with Spurs winning the tie. Imagine if Spurs had been knocked out of the Champions League because the linesman missed the Aguero offside? Or if the Llorente goal was chalked off for no reason? This is exactly why VAR should be used at all times and whilst in its current state the technology definitely needs to be improved and the system sped up, using it week-in and week-out will be the best way to understand the challenges and overcome them. Let’s get things right and use VAR to ensure the game is called properly.

Are you resistant to change? Do you simply not like VAR? Or you do think it is a brilliant idea? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

Investar USA – Why You Should Invest Cash into Your Garden

If you have a garden outside your home which needs some work doing on it then you may have already faced the decision between garden and bedroom or garden and kitchen when there is some money available to invest in the home. Usually these types of decisions go the way of the interior of the home rather than the garden, and it is easy to see why. I felt the same as this until a couple of years ago when I caught up with a good friend who was working with property investment group Investar USA, who educated me on exactly why one should invest in their garden, let’s take a look.

Easy Money

The first thing to mention is that when it comes to going to see a lender about borrowing some money for your project, you will find that home renovation investment is often looked upon favorably by the lenders. What this means for you is that you should have a better chance of securing a loan should you need one, leaving you to do nothing more than check the rates and repayments, sign the fraud protection paperwork and the declaration, and hey presto you’ll have the funds.

Added Value

Something which I was very surprised to learn about from my friend was the additional value which I could add to the home after investing in the garden. Because of the fact that so many house hunters across the USA find a garden desirable, you can both add value and increase your property salability. For the investment which I made into my garden it is estimated that I have added around 60% of my total spend, as added value on the home. In this regard you can very much view your spending as an investment, rather than a cost.

Speed

When you invest money in your garden and pay for a company to come and complete the work you will have a beautiful looking garden in no time at all. This means that there is no hassle, no waiting around, no toiling night after night to get the job done, simply find the right team, work out a price and then get the garden which you have always wanted in no time at all.

Quality

It is not just speed which you can count on when you invest money into your garden but you will also be able to count on a far higher standard of work than you may be able to do yourself. These companies specialize in garden renovations and that means that they do this kind of thing day-in and day-out. Any issues will be quickly resolved and thanks to the technical knowledge which they have you can make all kind of requests which they will be able to carry out.

Having a beautiful garden really adds something to your home and it will not only give you the benefits which we have already mentioned, you can also count on having a new space the home to spend some time.
