Gazotto.com – Gadgets, News, Reviews, Technology

blog reviewI’m very suprised revisiting Gazotto after quite some time. Only a few months ago this blog was started by Jonathan Lukas, and in a short period of time he has managed to not only add a good number of posts, they are quality and interesting as well.

Jonathan manages to capture the world of technology and packages it into a nice format made for a blog. Whether you want to read about the the first cell phone with a 3.2 megapixel camera in America or a washable keyboard from Unotron … if you add Gazotto to your list of blogs to read, you will be guaranteed to get heads up on what is new, hot and what is in the making.

Microsoft ends support for old windows systems is just another example for a techie post that is of interest to everybody.

No, one thing Jonathan’s blog is not, it’s geeky. “Geeks are cool now” anyways, or so I’ve heard (well maybe somebody has lied to me).

Either way, I give Gazotto a 4 as well. I see a definite 5 in its future though. I can’t give any other advice right now than “keep on going and doing what you’re doing”. You’re on the way of becoming one of the best tech blogs of all times. Congratulations in advance!

5 Star Affiliate Programs – yes, she has a blog!

blog reviewHaving known of 5 Star Affiliate Programs for quite some time, I knew that Linda Buquet has a forum. And a lot of great info about affiliate programs. Her site is very well known as a resource for those who want to find new companies to represent on their sites in order to benefit financially in other ways than just offering their own products and services.

Linda has a lot of experience in this business, as an affiliate herself, a consultant as well as an internet marketer. She knows what it takes to get high rankings in the search engines, and also how to turn visitors into profit, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that she now is blogging as well. On her 5 Star Affiliate Blog that is.

On an average, 5 Star Affiliate Blog is updated daily. Most of the posts are introducing new programs such as NBC TV’s The Biggest Loser Club as well as updates and news about well established programs and networks such as CJ’s New LMI Links.

Linda goes into details. A lot of details. If you first get overwhelmed with what you may view as too much information, go ahead and browse thru the articles and look thru the headlines. I’m finding this blog very useful for anyone who would like to make/make more money with their sites and blogs. Linda has been in the business long enough to know the good, the bad and the ugly. She also keeps readers posted on events such as the Affiliate Summit and the Affiliate Marketing Humor Award.

If you have some time, read thru her blog and see what you can learn. It’s free and so much better than the ebooks that will charge for their “groundbreaking insights on how to become a Billionaire overnight”.

Off the top of my head – yfs1.com

blog review Off the top of my head – yfs1.com

So I didn’t plan to review this one next. Why did I? Because at my favorite webmaster forum (other than my own), I saw the title to his latest blog entry called Making Your Directory Stand Out.
It appealed to me, because I’ve been running 2 directories for a while, and needless to say, directories are dime a dozen now. There are some good ones out there such as the Alive Directory, which he points out, but the vast majority doesn’t provide any value whatsoever.

Once I’ve read his post, I continued reading other parts of the blog. What I like a lot, is how he gives first hand account to the suggestions that he makes. You can tell that Jason, the owner of the blog, knows what he is talking about, none of his posts are simple repeats of other people’s news, or hearsay.

Jason has the following categories:

Forums
Interviews
Online Business
Question Time
Reviews
Search Engines
Society
Zany / Off Topic

which I believe are chosen wisely. He is one of the first who will critizise a site or business that is doing something wrong. His compliments as well as his negative feedbacks however seem to be dead on. I recommend Off the top of my head highly as one of those blogs that you want to bookmark and check back whenever you have some time. Note it on your calendar. Normally a wise thing to do is see how often a blog is updated. If it’s 2-3 times per week, then check it every 5 days or so. Also use the search function, type in a few keywords of interest and see what might pop up. You may be surprised what useful info you may find.
