Straight Men Can Learn a Thing or Two from Gay Mens Underwear Choices

We can all admit that gay men just know how to do a few things better than straight men. Perhaps this is a bit politically incorrect, but let’s face it, it’s 100% true. We’re not necessarily saying that gay men are always in the loop about the latest fashion trends and interior design fads, but generally speaking gay men have much better fashion sense than the straight guys.

This becomes especially apparent when you compare gay mens underwear to the underwear worn by straight men. If you’re a straight guy reading this and want to learn a thing or two about how to boost your underwear game, it’s time to take a few plays from this gay man’s underwear rule book.

Think About the Fit Before Anything Else

It doesn’t matter if you prefer a snug pair of tighty whities or you’re more of a boxer briefs fan, the first thing to focus on is the fit of your underwear. No matter how expensive those Calvin Kleins or Dolce and Gabbanas are, your underwear won’t look good if they don’t fit properly.

Gay men know that it is important to not just look at the size (like small, medium, or large) but also look at the specifications for each size depending on the manufacturer. One company’s small might be more similar to another company’s medium, so it is important to read into the actual measurements in order to get the best fit possible.

Gotwords.org talks about the importance of fit in relation to comfort and sex appeal: “Find ones that are comfortable for you. Comfort is important but also find ones that accentuate those three features (legs, ass, and junk).  Be sure they are comfortable, but also that they accentuate what you got going on and that stimulate you a little sexuality.”

Next, Consider Making a Statement

Just because your underwear isn’t as exposed as your shirt or pair of slacks does not mean it has to lack style or originality. Don’t be afraid to try something funky with your underwear choices. Go for a pattern or color you wouldn’t normally wear, like a nautical pattern or hot pink.

Or instead of your normal breezy boxers, a pair of sleek boxer briefs a try. There are plenty of designer and department store brands that go all out in terms of color and pattern. You can find everything from bright beachy briefs to flashy jockstraps. Trying something new and out of your comfort zone is a great way to get an unexpected boost in confidence.

Don’t Be Afraid to Ask Your Partner

It doesn’t matter if you are gay, straight, bisexual, or transexual, you should always feel comfortable asking your partner or partners for opinions. For some reason, a lot of straight men don’t believe in chatting about things like undergarments with their lady friends, but that way of thinking needs to stop ASAP. You should feel completely comfortable going to your partner for any type of life advice, including advice on underwear choices.

How to Find Top Rated Cancer Surgeons in Los Angeles

Facing cancer is a scary endeavor, and it is, unfortunately, something that many people have to do at some point in their lives. It doesn’t matter if you’re searching for top-rated cancer surgeons in Los Angeles or NYC, making sure you have the best healthcare team on your side as you go through this journey to beat cancer is a must.

According to the American Cancer Association, “when you find out you have cancer, there are many things to think about and many decisions to make. Most people with cancer are not experts on cancer treatment. You may not feel like you have the time, energy, or resources to figure out how and where to get the best cancer care. You might need some help.”

Saying you might need some help is an understatement – you will most definitely need some help. The first step in getting that help in finding a top-rated cancer specialist, here’s how to do it.

First, find a reputable hospital

Before anything else, you need to find a hospital that has a surgeon on staff who works specifically with your specialty. You can find all of this information online nowadays, or you can ask around within your community. You can even utilize social media as a tool and make a post asking for advice on the top hospitals in your surrounding area.

People love to share their experiences, so all you have to do is get the conversation started one way or another. A major part of choosing a hospital is reviewing the surgeons on staff. On the hospital website, you’ll see the long list of doctors that they work with. You’ll be able to narrow it down by specialty and see how many years of experience each surgeon has within his or her field.

A great tool for hospital searching is the Joint Commission’s Quality Check. You can search on the Quality Check database by inputting the name of the hospital you’re considering or even just searching for quality top-rated medical facilities with your zip code or city.

Consider your insurance provider

Obviously, this is an important step. You’ll need to find a hospital or medical facility that is covered by your specific insurance plan. This might narrow your options down greatly, so try to do this before anything else. You can typically find out if a doctor is a part of your health plan by visiting the hospital website or checking directly with your insurance provider.

Consult, consult, consult

Once you have found the hospital and researched surgeons within that hospital that fit within your insurance plan, you’ll want to set up a consultation period. Depending on the type of cancer you have and how far it has progressed, you might have to act quick. But whatever you do, try not to settle. During your consultation, you need to feel comfortable with the surgeon and you should start to develop a sense of trust.

6 Best Suburbs in Corona According to a Leading Property Management Corona Agency

Nobody knows more about Corona real estate than a property management corona agency. Property management professionals have seen it all when it comes to the best (and worst) neighborhoods of the area. If you’re looking for a safe suburb to raise a family, your best bet is to your local property management experts.

Here’s what some of the leading property management agencies in Corona have to say about the best suburbs in the area. Their list of top 6 Corona suburbs includes:

  • Aliso Viejo
  • Mission Viejo
  • Rancho Santa Margarita
  • Newport Beach
  • Cypress
  • San Clemente

Aliso Viejo

Aliso Viejo has the ninth highest income in the state, coming in at a median income of over $100,000. There are about 50,000 people living in the area with an unemployment rate of only 4.8%

Mission Viejo

As Viejo #2 to make the list, Mission Viejo might not be within everyone’s budget. The average price of houses sold in the past year is over $650,000. The median income is high as well – about $107,000 per year – and the unemployment rate is just over 5%. Some people find the area too crowded since it is home to about 100,000 residents.

Rancho Santa Margarita

With a low unemployment rate and a low poverty rate, Rancho Santa Margarita is a wonderful place to live if you’re looking in the Corona area. The population is about 50,000, and you can’t beat the surrounding views. If you have kids, this is the top place you should consider since the public school system in RSM is one of the best in the world.

Newport Beach

You might perceive Newport Beach as a place only for the rich, and in a way this is correct. Just about everyone that lives here makes a good amount of money because let’s face it, they couldn’t afford to live in Newport Beach if they didn’t. The average yearly income is nearly $120,000 and the average cost of homes is $1.6 million. Unemployment is 4.3% and the percentage of people living under the poverty line is 6.2%.

Cypress

Cypress is a quiet area of Corona that’s perfect for raising a family. To live here, you don’t need to be as well off as you would in Newport Beach, but the average cost of housing is still over $500,000.  The average income of Cypress residents is $90,000, unemployment 4.5%, and the poverty rate is 5.8%

San Clemente

The population of San Clemente has seen a steady rise over the past few years. A major reason for this is that the cost of living is relatively low compared to other Corona towns. The median income is about $101,000 and crime rates are very low. It doesn’t matter if you’re a young professional, raising a family, or just settling into retirement, San Clemente is a great place to establish some roots.
