rate5 Plasmetic Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Guide and News Bloggeries ReviewHave you ever wondered what it would be like to get a nip here, a tuck there? What are all the ins and outs of cosmetic surgery? What is involved, how much does it cost, is it even worth it? Here is a site that will answer all of those questions and more . This site has the beauty conscious in mind and will cover the latest in plastic surgery, botox, implants, liposuction, tummy tucks, brow lifts, and lasik surgery. They also review spas on a regular basis and will be the first ones to tell you who to see and who to avoid. To top it off, they offer you the latest research in the industry, as well as industry related trends and technology. Some of their recent posts include Old spa treatments resurface in the Czech, DNA Diet for a great look, Hydrafacial – A new rejuvenation option, Nordic Walking, Facial aging is not the result of gravity, Man boob woes, Symlin Pramliptide – Diabetic Drug aids in weight loss, The latest from Japan – Eyelash wigs, and Brazilian surgeon’s endeavors results in ‘lipotourism’. I really enjoyed the credibility of this site, they back up almost everything with solid research. An interesting post for example was “DNA Diet for a Great Look”, where recent research shows that you can have your DNA tested to find out what foods you should/should not be eating. Gotta love technology. If you are on the squeamish side, you want to avoid the “Man Boob Woes” post, I don’t think I need to say more, do I?

plasticsurgery Plasmetic Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Guide and News Bloggeries Review Navigation on this site is ridiculously easy. Posts are left marginalized with appropriate pictures and standard black text on a white background. There are two right sided navigation bars, one is almost entirely a categories bar, but you will also find the About menu, contact links, and the RSS subscription. The far right bar contains recent posts links, and here you can subscribe to their newsletter. The site further has a top menu for more ease of navigation, and here you will find the home link, forums, about link, how to advertise, and contact information. The extent of the categories is so comprehensive, I won’t mention them here. Suffice it to say there are over 1500 posts on this blog, and whatever you can think of for a cosmetic surgery category, it is there I assure you. Even better, you will find a category section devoted entirely to different locations for major metropolitans in the States.

This blog earned a 5 from me. It contained all of the necessary elements to justify this, frequent postings that were unique and well written. Consistent activity and a layout and navigation system that was extremely user friendly. They also have a sizable readership and excellently laid out pictures that are very useful in this industry. Normally at this point I am offering suggestions, however, I can’t think of anything that would improve this blog. Clearly plasmatic.com is doing very well and wish them continued success!

HodgedUp – Join the Community – Or Not! – Bloggeries Review

rate1 HodgedUp Join the Community Or Not! Bloggeries ReviewIf you are looking for a weird site, well, then I sure as heck have one for ya. It is called HodgedUp and they are calling themselves the coolest community. Of what, you ask? Hmmm….I am still trying to figure that one out. The blog is described as a collection of unique and funny articles, videos, and funny pictures. They were self-described as something different or twisted to laugh at. Well, I wasn’t really laughing when I was going through here, and seemingly, I wasn’t reading any articles either. In fact, this website does not even look like a blog at all. Some blogs disguise their blog status well, however this one was very strange. It has all the looks of a major online community, but lists only 3 members. Perhaps you have to register to take full advantage of the blog, but then, is it really a blog if that is the case? At any rate, I didn’t register, the few tidbits I got on the page were not enough to make me go that length. I did see some odd videos though, odd is a better word for me than twisted, but again, twisted is in the eye of the beholder. These videos included: “Kelly Clarkson joins Metal Skool with her friend Jack Daniels, David Hasselhoff – Hooked on a Feeling, Dave the Hoff Hasselhoff – Jump in my Car, and Chris Daughtry Singing Plush.

What can I say about Navigation? I just flat out did not understand this site. When you are browsing the videos you will see a browse links menu, and here you will find links such as “Zodler the Virtual Sim Baby”, and Free Online Games. The Top navigation bar contained links to My Desktop (AKA Home), My Contacts (the 3 members of the community), Search Blogs, Inkspot, Media, Login, Register, and a Help button. I don’t really know how recent the blog is, or if it is even used, the front page seemed to change while I was in the process of roaming and navigating, so I am going to guess it is pretty recent. The right navigation bar has a login section for members, as well as some AdSense code. In the bottom navigation bar there are pics of the blog members listed as “random members” but you will notice they are the same ones that appear in the “My Contacts” link. There is a search bar for members here, and also a menu for “Important References” such as Tell/Invite a Friend, Contact Us, Report Abuse, Bookmark Us, and their Privacy Policy as well as Terms of Use. It is links such as this that lead me to wonder how big this site may be behind the registration, but again, I just could not be bothered as they did not give me enough to whet my appetite.

I am going with a 1.4 here, and I think this is fairly generous. Bloggeries has never given a 1 before but I can’t give them a 2.  I just did not know what was going on with this site outside of a collection of assorted celebrity videos. I did not see much “twisted” humor or articles, or bloggeries – this leaves the content marks in the dust. Navigation WOULD be simple I think if I knew what this blog was about. It is certainly unique, but I can’t even give anything activity marks as nothing has date stamps on it. If this site is expecting a high registration, it really needs to fix these major issues, or I think it is just going to keep floating around aimlessly in cyberspace. Until it does, that is probably just as well.

Credit – Debt – Personal Finance – Bloggeries Review

Friday, June 22nd, 2007

rate3 Credit Debt Personal Finance Bloggeries Review If you are looking for some financial advice, you may want to have a look at a blog about credit, debt, and personal finance. This site offers chexsystems help and bad credit resources. The owner of the blog, Steve, wanted to create this blog as an all-in-one community where people could come to find helpful information and advice on credit and personal finance. He also hopes this blog will help people fulfill all of their financial needs such as personal finance and loans, credit cards, and mortgages. The site is pretty standard and fairly easy to use, and in fact even the most recent posts offer some very basic pointers and FAQ so to speak on financial terminology. Check out these most recent entries: Compounding Interest vs. Simple Interest, What makes up a FICO Score?, Agloco – Newest Money-Making Craze!, Last Read: Why We Want you to be Rich ( By Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki), How a Cash Advance can help your Credit, and Making Money Online with Google AdSense.

Navigation on this site is very simple. The posts are left marginalized with black text on white background. The posts have been fairly frequent lately, and this trend seems to have picked up over the last couple of weeks. There is a bit of a gap between April and June, tho June seems to be picking up the pace. There is a right sided navigation bar that contains both an archives menu, with archives going back to July 2006, so the site is not quite a year old yet. Below that is a categories menu where you will find categories such as banking, ChexSystems, Credit, Debt, Insurance, Making Money, Misc. Mortgage, Personal Loans, Real Estate, and Welcome posts. There is very little left to offer on the site outside of generic postings on finance related matters. The posting seems very relevant however and is well written and user friendly, easy to understand formats.

I am giving this site a 3 as it is lacking a few elements. I think this site needs just a little jumpstart to build a readership. The content is excellent, I love how user friendly it is, and it answers key questions that a lot of people just don’t know about yet. However, with the exception of the last week or so, activity has been sparse. The site could use some relevant pictures, even pictures of money or credit cards or something to get people a little more stirred up about the content. Navigation however is very easy, so no difficulties on that note. And I think that it needs something to make this blog stand out amongst all the other finance blogs, it is lacking some kind of pop that will tell its readers that this blog is the one to beat when it comes to financial matters. Perhaps some widgets, feed readers, that kind of thing would be enough to spunk it up a little.
