Denimology – Blog Review

If you are addicted to hunting for the perfect pair of jeans, this is the site for you. Denimology, the science behind finding the perfect pair of jeans is found on its own domain in the UK and is dedicated to just that. Denimology is where you will get access to all of the up to date news and reviews of the best premium and vintage denim available online and on the high street. Denimology also caters to the celebrity conscious crowd, so if you are wondering what jeans your favorite celebs are wearing, you can find that out here. Check out Denimology’s latest bloggeries to see more: Carmen Electra in J. Brand Jeans, Privacy Wear – Clothing with a Conscience, Win a Pair of Terrance Sullivan Jeans, Heidi Klum in Miss Sixty Jeans, ShopBop Denim Guide – Getaway Looks, Mischa Barton in 18th Amendment Jeans, Selma Blair in Siwy Denim, Giselle Bundchen in Superfine Jeans, and YMI 2008 Ad Campaign.

Rivet De Cru JeansThe blog is well organized and this makes it somewhat easy to navigate. I will say that there is quite a bit more advertising on this blog than there seems to be of ‘blog meat’ and this makes the navigation a little distracting. The blog however contains 4 navigation systems – one left navigation bar, 2 right navigation bars, and a top navigation bar. In the top navigation bar you will find links to Home, Women’s Denim, Men’s Denim, Denim Sale, Rate My Denim, Newsletter, and Contact. The left navigation bar is left strictly to advertising, and the first right navigation bar contains more ads, Featured Sites, Categories Menu, Top Sellers, and links to all of your favorite denim brands. In the far right navigation bar there is again, more advertising, Supporters menu, and a very healthy looking blog roll.

I will give this blog a 3.7 for now, as the advertising is a little excessive and this affects both navigation and appearance marks. It’s not a big deal but it’s nice to have some sort of navigation in the first fold sidebars. I think they’d do just as well putting a smaller or even a link adsenes block in the top left with any type of navigation.  The content is well done, and is very active so the blogger scores well for that. I also like the marketing points where each headline is containing good usage of keywords for the hungry search engines. Navigation is overall not too bad, but the blogger could make more use of her many navigation bars by adding more blog meat such as Recent Posts Menu, Recent Comments Menu, or even a Fave Brand of the Week menu or something. I love the concept of the blog and its definitely one the readership will enjoy, as well as the search engines, however, the blogger is too focused on monetization and this could be affecting what might be a healthy readership. Finally I searched too long for the search bar. If you want people to get familiar with your content you must make searching for older bloggeries an easy task.

Blogging with Cents – Blog Review

Blogging with Cents Blog ReviewBloggeries is looking at another money making blog, and this one comes with a few twists that lend it a very personal feel as well. The blog is called Blogging with Cents and the more I read the more it made sense. The blog is about mindless chatter with tips, reviews, and earning money online and is owned and written by a wife and mother of 3. This blogger makes no bones about her feistyness, as she can change her own tires, cook from scratch, and voice opinions or kick hineys if she is inappropriately ticked off. She blogs about life, people, news, reviews, money, tips, and freebies and runs her blog very professionally. Get a feel for this blogger and her Internet experiences by checking out any of her most recent bloggeries: Xfep’s Amazing Woman Blogging List, Increasing RSS Feed Subscribers, Prevention and Being Thankful, Blogging Away Debt and Living Longer, How Blogging is Like Losing Weight.

Blogging with Cents Navigation on this blog is very easy as this blog carries an extremely professional appeal with a clean well-organized template. Bloggeries are left marginalized in black text on beige background and black bordering. There are three navigation bars, a top navigation bar and two right-sided navigation bar. In the top navigation bar you will find all of the administration of the blog: Home link, About link, Advertise, Contact information, Disclosure Policy, Freebies, and Get Paid. The left sided navigation bar offers subscription options, Recent Entries menu, Most Popular Posts menu, advertising, and an extensive Categories Menu. The Categories Menu is rather comprehensive and offers a wide range of topics to read from: Affiliates, Blogging Tips, Contests, Featured, Gift Ideas, Health, Hope Tips, and so many more topics that can help you achieve your work from home goals. In the right navigation bar you will find advertising, Top Commentators Menu, Archive Menu, Blogroll, and Recent Viewers and Recent Readers widgets from My Blog Log.

I will go with a 4/5 for this blog. The blog is well written with a strong personal voice so the content scores are very good. This blogger appeals to her audience by offering advice and articles with a personal voice that makes her reviews and tips extremely user friendly and credible. This alone should provide her with a solid readership and steady growth. She also offers an appealing design that is both professional and attractive as well as easy to navigate. The blog scores some unique points as well given that it offers a wide range of topic, and the title of the blog is catchy and appealing. I think activity could use some work if the blogger wants to see even more growth. Activity is doing very well coming in every few days, but a daily bloggery may serve this blogger well with more consistent readership. Overall however, the blog would definitely prove useful to anyone looking for success through working online, and it should see continued success.

Erik Karey: Internet Entrepreneur – Blog Review

Erik Karey: Internet Entrepreneur - Blog ReviewIf you are interested in any kind of Internet Marketing, take a minute to introduce yourself to Erik Karey: Internet Entrepreneur. Erik Karey is a 21 year old Internet entrepreneur who has created a blog on his journey to wealth. Erik has recently discovered the joys of Internet marketing, and is interested in being able to make a living from running, marketing, and administering websites. His blog serves as a discussion for those who share the same goals and who would be interested in the knowledge he has to share on the topic. He hopes you find his information both interesting, and useful. See for yourself if Erik’s information is just that by checking out his latest Bloggeries: My First Plung Into PPC Marketing, January in Review and February Goals, SEO is Important, Damn it Feels Good to be an eBay Affilliate, Introducing PHP Bay Ads, and Tis the Season for Affilliate Marketing.

Erik’s blog offers a clean template that is well organized and thus easy to navigate. Bloggeries are left marginalized and there are two right sided navigation bars as well as both a top and bottom navigation system. In the top navigation bar you will find links to Home, About, Projects, Advertise and Contact. In the left sided navigation bar you will see popular posts, Categories Menu, Top Commenters, and a MyBlogLog widget. Scrolling down to the footer you will see Recent Posts Menu, Recent Comments Menu, and a blogroll. Bloggeries are in black text on white background and each has a relevant picture associated with the posts.

This blog will get a 3.8/5 from me as it scores well on all major blog criteria. The blog offers a clean appearance and a well organized template. The blog also contains all of the major blog meat that readers enjoy which is incorporated into its several navigation systems. As such this makes navigation very easy. The content is well done in a user friendly voice which makes the information and advice it provides very credible to the reader. I would suggest that activity can use some work as bloggeries are spaced well over a week apart in some cases. This blog has a lot to offer its readers and if it were to provide a little more activity, it may even see some subscription growth. Overall however the blog is doing well with an active readership of over 100 subscribers, and if the blogger can maintain his personal voice it should do well in time.
