Short and sweat is not always bad. Sometimes people don't have time to read a long post. the best thing to focus on is quality. My latest post is a short one and it's got a bigger response compared to some of my other posts.

I think in certain topics it is easy and, in many cases, appropriate to make posts longer and in greater detail. For your topic and tone, however, I would say that your current length is perfect and is more than enough to convey what you're trying to say.

I have always thought that size does not matter. It is more to do with creating a unique pleasurable experience that will make the visitor want to return for more. This can be achieved with almost any length. |

Quality over quantity. Thatīs how I write! My posts are also pretty short but I like it that way. Posts donīt have to be very long, as long as you get your points across, length doesnīt matter. And I think readers appreciate shorter posts much more, because the average user tend to only stay on a website for a couple of minutes. Here is my blog, if you want to check out out http://digitalpkr.blogspot.com |

By far it is better to break your thoughts into chunks (that make sense!) and make multiple posts. Not only are you adding more content to your site but you are also making it easier for your readers to follow you. People will skip through big massive articles looking for interesting parts that catch their attention. By making your articles something like 400-500 words long your visitors will read more of your article, increasing your pageview time and making your readers feel like you're much more interesting. Don't get stuck on a certain word number though. Write until you feel satisified, but don't ramble and don't miss a chance to break your bigger articles into several different pages. |

hi Professorwhite Length does not matter if you writing for regular readers. but I have seen in past two month ( not sure I am a newbie) that my long articles tends to get more visitors from search engine especially after panda update longer articles are value more but my opinion is always write for your readers, understand your readers . know what they want and write for them In long run readers is all that matters. |

Hey Everyone, So I find that my short posts filled with pics are the best. There were a couple long ones usually dealing with Zombies but other than that I keep them short and sweet and this has worked out great for me. |

I've been taught this rule of thumb which has worked for me pretty well: If you can't decide between keeping a word in a sentence or ruling it out, rule it out. Wordy blogs are the dullest things to read and instantly puts visitors off. As mentioned before shorter posts are much more interesting and addicting than long ones, but mix it up. Loyal readers want more. Loyal readers want to read, so you don't want to make your blog a fax-machine and overcapacitate your readers. The key is, as you even mentioned, fun. If you have fun writing it will reflect in the content, if writing becomes a must, stop it. It doesn't matter if it's long or short. It only matters if it's interesting and unique. I'd say your posts are pretty much spot on -HS thepetrolblogger.blogspot.com |

I use to follow marketing guru seth godin's blog. Many posts were very short, but pertinent, clear and direct. I guess it counts. Short can be relevant as much as a long post if suitably done.
