Or do you post everything? I tend to blog about once a week more or less. Recently I've been doing things and thinking "this could be blog material" and then taking a couple of photos, but I don't write them up for the blog as I've already got my main weekly post (or I know what it'll be). So these unwritten posts are still floating about at the back of my mind and I'm thinking that I can save them for weeks when the inspiration isn't there. Do you think it's better to blog all your content when you come up with it or do you keep some in reserve for dry spells? Is it better to post regulary in some kind of pattern or should you just go for it when it the inspiration's there, even if it means there may be patches when nothing is posted? Just wondered what other people do.

Generally, if I write even one line of a post, it gets posted within a day or two. Incomplete old writing bores me. I do think that a pattern of activity is important, and that it's important for a blog to have a minimum of one post a week. It doesn't have to be a long and brilliant post, but I think that there should be a weekly sign of life. In my case, I have one blog where I post daily, with just a couple of exceptions in six months, and another one where I post less regularly, but now I'm trying to post daily there, too. |

Interesting. I usually have a dozen drafts in progress at one time, but many get forgotten, and I ultimately decide don't make the cut. I'm usually actively writing two or three blog posts at a time, over the course of a day or two. Once the blog post is written, with photos attached, it gets scheduled. I almost never post two new blog posts in one day, and I update my site roughly about 3 times per week.

I just post whenever I feel, when I have something valuable to share and of benefit to others. I don't do any drafts, and I post either everyday for a week if am available, or once within the week. It is really just when I can access the computer, and make the most of it by sharing insights which have been with me during the day.

I don't really have a regular schedule for when I blog, but I try to keep the posts about my personal life to a minimum. Unless someone knows me fairly well, they have no interest in who I talked to, what homework I have, that sort of thing. I'll post as frequently as I think is necessary about things I think people should read about. I try to write about things a lot of people can relate to and stuff to make them think. |

Yes, actually I have a whole backlog of posts to be written. Whenever I get an idea, I start a post with it and save it as a draft to write later. That way I don't forget the idea, and it gives me content ideas after the 'newness' wears off. I have about 10 draft ideas waiting to be written, right now.
