I've said it before and I'll say it again - I don't spin the articles!

The spun articles I publish are provided by an online service - and the writer of the articles does the spinning

The service provider distributes the spun articles to publishers like me - that's the reason the writer pays for access to the spinning and article distribution service

In fact, it almost certainly subtracts it, since the original writer made the original word choices and choices about the order of presentation for a reason.

If you're arguing that it's useless for exactly the same Reuters (or other syndicated) story to be repeated in a thousand different news outlets, there's some merit to that idea. However, those news outlets have generally made some editorial decisions and arranged the news in a way that's useful to their readers - readers in Chicago and readers in Los Angeles probably have different priorities. So the repetition has some value for someone. And they're using the original decently-written syndicated story, not a badly-assembled cut and paste of it. Syndication of stories has some value; spinning of them does not.
I don't think we disagree, here.

No. Good heavens, no. It's just going to produce garbage and trash your blog's credibility.

It depends how it's used. I can show you text and you wouldn't be able to tell whether it was spun or not. The main point is that spinning doesn't add any benefit as republishing other peoples' content (if done legally) has no negative consequences for your site.

The only time when spinning might be useful is when you have 100's or 1000's pages that are very similar in content on your own site and you want to avoid potential duplicate content issues. This, however, is usually not an issue for blogs (more like e-commerce sites).

There is nothing better than good, quality content or articles and most spinning software does not provide it in my opinion.

I agree. But it's not the tool. It's how you use it.

I am new around here, but I would like to chime in if I may....

Here is the best and most sensible use of an article spinner, IMO.

1. Write your wonderful, perfect article and post it to you blog in a form that you are 100% happy with.

2. Use spinning software or online spinning tools to spin the article professionally (by that I mean concentrate while you are doing it so that the grammar and syntax are not destroyed and you are left with articles that, although may not sound like your voice are still correct English).

3. Generate 30 articles which all should be 70% original and will be readable, on-topic and grammatically correct if you have done your job properly.

4. Submit those articles to major article directories (high PR ones) all containing links back to your blog.

This way you are getting 3 benefits from every beautifully crafted blog article you write: i) You get the article on your blog in its best form. ii) You get traffic coming from the articles to your blog and iii) You get valuable backlinks to your blog pages from high PR article directories.
