If a blog has bad grammar, do you care? Even if it's just a fun blog? I type everyday and fast, I realize my bloggeries are riddled with errors. Thoughts, be honest!

Yes, I care. I don't have a lot of patience for poor writing, whether it be because English is not the writer's first language or the writer is stupid, lazy, rushed, etc. If a writer doesn't take much care when writing a post, why should I care to read it? Plus, I think good writing reflects well on a writer, making their work more credible. After all, if a person is sloppy with their writing, you tend to think that they are also sloppy with their facts/information/etc. |

I would let typos and grammar errors slide (or at least more likely to) in the case of a blog which is more of a personal diary with less of an overarching theme.

I care a whole lot, yep. I edit everything, down to emails and tweets, and I'm irritated when someone else doesn't bother to do so.

I don't mind if the mistakes are honest mistakes and are kept to a minimum. Someone who makes a few mistakes here or there doesn't bother me any, but I have no desire to read someone who truly doesn't care to edit their writing at all or who just plain sucks at the English language. That's strictly talking about websites/blogs, though. On forums, for example, I have no issues reading someone who obviously speaks something other than English as their first language. I have a harder time tolerating leetspeak or "text talk," though.

I don't mind a few grammar mistakes here and there and I'm sure I've made my share. I do tend to shy away from blogs that are full of them though.

Unless it's a stylistic choice of the blogger 'course ![]() But if someone doesn't know about capitals, commas, and correctly formed sentances then they are losing tons of credibility.

I completely care! Even if it's just for fun, I can't stand reading something that isn't well written (as far as spelling and grammar go).
