I absolutely care about grammar. If I see an error I will edit and fix it, even if it's been published. However, I don't treat a blog post like academic writing though. For that caliber of writing, it simply would take me too long to write content regularly! Especially because I would "sleep" on academic papers before the final hand-in. |

I definitely care about grammar. It wouldn't look good to my viewers if I had made a mistake in writing a post and it definitely would give the reader an impression to think that the person writing doesn't really give much thought as to what they are writing. Little errors like these can prove to be a big impact towards your blog. As I am reading this thread I could tell how serious people are when reading others blog post, and that gives the writer an idea that he/she should make the post as perfect as possible, therefore attracting more readers. But we all know mistakes happen and no one is perfect, so when the reader comes across a small error they should realize that no one is perfect. |

I do. Occasionally if I am writing a casual piece I will get a little loose with it. However, if it is a post I want to be taken seriously, I pay very close attention to it. |

I do too. To be honest it also has something to do with my background. English is not my first language and I studied hard to master it. It would be such a waste to not use it properly. Edited: Had to re-edit. Ho, ho ...

| But that's what grammar is for - allowing you to express yourself in an understandable way. If the grammar is incorrect, quite often the meaning is unclear.

I'm sorry, it's late and I don't have the energy to read six pages of comments, so I apologize if this has already been said. GRAMMAR MATTERS! Spelling and grammar are super important to communicate effectively in writing. A rare typo is forgivable, but if u talk like this and like I cant understand what your saying and you know? Like, right?!? |
