Need advice about blog,for blog desciption from women only! - Blog Forum

Hello,

I'm creating a blog on a very sensitve subject ... and would prefer women's opinions only...It deals with Vaginismus. Having it, having therapy, overcoming it... yada yada. Eventually i'd like to turn it into having children after the disorder as well... but thats a large hope.

I have a cute picture and want to put a title of my blog description on there.. Does this sound ok: Finding a husband wasn't diffficult, however consumating the marriage, was a different story... The title maybe being the 26 year old virgin? Not sure... Any ideas/ suggestions would be helpful.

*Please no hateful comments as this is a real & devestating disorder.

I don't know what this disorder is. In honesty, unless your blog title sounds like your serious about a medical issue, you're very likely going to get people stumbling across your blog because it sounds like there might be something adult on it. "26 year old virgin" sound like the name of an adult site. I'm sorry, but all I can say, not even knowing what this is, is that I suggest as serious as possible a title.

I agree that you need a serious title, header, and so on. Even if you're trying to be casual and lighthearted in some of the posts, you don't want the blog to look like a joke.

Hi there are several sites that address the medical issue. Was your blog going to deal with the personal aspects of the disease?

yes, as a person whos been married and living with it for 4 years, trying to overcome the disorder. Which means physical therapy, emotional therapy etc. It wasnt mean to be a joke, any suggestions for a "serious title". I plan to write what my therapist told me to do, our progress, my feelings ect. Its not a joking matter, but with such a depressing topic I thought it would be good to have a fun title... Any suggestions are welcomed.

Ahhh I don't have any titles to contribute, but it's a great idea to write down your story and everything! Best of luck with it all! Life can be challenging and you gotta do what you gotta do to get through it.

I still think that a fun title is likely to backfire. A non-medical title might work - something that suggests a safe place to talk with supportive friends, and so on. ("Ladies' Lunch Table" comes to mind, but more as an example than a suggestion.)

(Though don't suggest too much safety without making it clear that comments/forums are public, unless you're able to make them private.)

I am thinking about this. If you want to appeal to women then if it is too medical that might not be appealing. Something softer, emotional it also matters how you write. Do you have some humor, if you are serious writer you might take a look at some serious blogs to think of some words that you might want to use in your title.
