Where does the inspiration for new posts come from? I've been blogging for about 9 months now on a wide array of topics from things I see, to things I do, to things I think. I'm well aware there are an infinite amount of topics to write about, but where do new ideas come from? Do you see them in your everyday life and write them down to remember to blog about them? Do you sit in your chair and go into deep thought?

It would be very easy for me to write something about my experiences or views. Also, hot topics that I can discuss or I'm knowledgeable of. So basically, something that I find interesting. Otherwise, I might produce nonsense stuff.

Keep in mind that mine are essentially personal blogs - one focused on perfume, and one thoroughly unfocused, to get my exploration of other topic out of the perfume blog. That said, some tendencies of mine are: - When I see a web page that gives me an idea, I put it in my "blog fodder" bookmark folder, even if the idea is totally unformed so far. - If I find myself talking about a topic over and over, I consider whether it's something for a blog post. - If I see a repeating trend in my niche, that might be worth blogging about. - Similarly, but not quite identical, if a bunch of facts or thoughts come together in my mind so that I see a new connection between them, that might produce a blogworthy topic. - I have a built-in daily post driver: I post about the Scent Of The Day on my perfume blog. That one's easy in theory, though coming up with a "take" on the scent more interesting than "I wore it. I liked/hated it." can be difficult, and I may or may not succeed. - If I'm grumpy about something, that may be useful for a rant post. - If I'm learning something, that may be worth posting. - What I just read, what I just watched, what I just ate, may occasionally be worth blogging. For example, every book I finish, is considered for a "review" post. - Similarly, my plans may be worth blogging about. Next year's vegetable garden, my decluttering plans, and so on. |

Our inspiration comes from everyday life too. We are often confronted by things that we loathe and feel so compelled to share our personal irritants and tips on how to hate more. A lot like yours, only angrier. word lucy and beelz How To Hate Everything |

I find that there are so many things to blog about, the question seems to be, how to focus in on important topics that people like. My personal blog can be about anything - so my day, what I saw, what I am thinking about - - these things can change all the time so the topics here are limitless. The Nontraditional Student blog must always zero in on nontraditional students, but if I think about it, the topics can range from books to buy for school to making friends to fashion to wear at school or what classes to take. If I look at other blogs in my subject area, this helps me find topics too. I have not run out of topics yet. If I ever did, I could take a post I've already written and update it! Some people call the "idea-finder" in their life their muse, or imagination. Jotting down ideas is another great idea to find more topics to write about. You can do this all the time and take your notebook with you. Hope this helps! |

I'm still honing my blog before starting to promote it. But I decided to keep a file of blog categories. The blog is a personal one with a self-help focus. File categories I've come up with so far are: People I want to interview, From the anals of history, Personal experiences for example, My life as a movie. Creating categories gives the blogger an organized way to search for new ideas. |

I sit and write when I thought of something interesting. It all start with a question then, out of curiosity I search for answers and there goes my content. I make sure that I take note of the questions that popped in my mind. I tend to forget them easily ehh. Experiences are also good source of content. I listen to other's chat and found some points and inspiration to write about. Read blogs and see some brilliant topics. Of course, I'll write about what I see to be missing with what I read. I find it fun to look for gray areas. virginia lakefront homes l commercial relocation |

My inspiration comes from Etsy. I have a long list of shops to feature and the list keeps growing.

For me, inspiration comes in so many ways! With my Art Libs blog, I get inspiration from the artists and their art. Seeing their work and doing something good to showcase their work makes me happy and keeps me going with the blog even when I get frustrated with it. With my Freshly Scented site, it's more of a hobby where I can write about things I feel passionate about! Movies, music, TV, comics, books and all sorts of other things! My friends and family also post on my blog as well which makes it fun for me! |
