Default Re: What exactly is GOOD content?

I would define good content that is helpful, and relevant to help solve a reader's (or specifically a searcher's - e.g. via Google) requirements to keep them engaged. I found with a pillar (long) post that I wrote, where I described and listed several ideas, tutorial links, thoughts and ideas, etc, must have been elevated as good content - because of the increased number of targeted keyword visits, and thoughtful comments. Basically the post is a long "How to" tutorial post - but it attracts several readers/searchers per week.

I'd say good content is content that helps people find what they are looking for. Every reader that finds your blog, found it because they were looking for something.

You need several things to make you blog full of content. Talking about popular subjects at the time will bring readers to your blog. Some people are into personal blogs, but not many. I include some personal entries with my popular subjects and the personal posts recieve less views. So make sure to keep the subject interesting.

Also, I think the way you write your post helps the content. Make sure to put a touch of your personality in there and not make it a magazine article.

Cool Re: What exactly is GOOD content?

There are a lot of articles that can justify as "good" content...but are the REALLY. Basically, content is king when it comes to websites or blogs. Without content there is no reason for readers to engage in what you have to say and keep coming back. Your writing should be grammatically correct, original, and be labeled with a certain style that fits your readers preferences.

More obvious after reading this thread is opinions are like belly buttons, everyone has one. Mine is that HEADLINES are King and without good ones, content goes unread.
