How do you come up with a great blog article?

My method is blogging with a pattern: How-To Monday, Tech Tuesday, Review Wednesday, Advice Thursday, Photoshop/Philosophy Friday (I'm alternating them week-to-week), and then Weekend Update on Sundays, on the weekends that I don't have an interview to post.

I usually take a recent news topic or current issue and relate it to my experiences. Writing in this manner is sometimes tricky, because some people might just rehash the issue or news topic without adding anything relevent to it.

Just write. Once it's down on the screen, you'll know if you can make it into something. Sometimes I'll intend to write about a certain idea, but once I start writing it will go off in some other direction. My posts always develop in funny ways.

I subscribe to news sites, and have on occasion, retrieved a blog idea for a post. But I have learnt not too blog too much in a single post, but rather develop another blog post, from that idea...

I have started a "series" on my site. It is my theory on government and I published the schedule ahead of time, so my readers expect the next installment on Sunday. There have been a couple of Sundays that I didn't want to write, but because I had already committed to my readers to have a post that day and to have it on a specific topic, I was forced to write. In at least one case, that post turned out to be really good. I had never done a series on my site before, and I really like it.

Well right now Im setting up a blogging schedule on what I want to talk about every day. When Ive been getting one of those super creative rushes I write down all my ideas and then I work it into my upcoming schedule. Things are going good right now

I pretty much do what Andy does. Everytime I think of a possible idea, I put it in my BlackBerry's memo pad. Trust me, this works. I currently have a long list of ideas I can go to if I get stuck.

I agree with andy keep a list and in ruff times call upon that list.
