you can change that in your wordpress admin section, click on "options" then "permalinks" and change it there- I like the "Date and name based" the best. Hope that helps! |

I'd do what Eve recommended; easiest way to do it and no plugin needed.

You could have underscore permalinks if you like. Plugins/Underscore Permalinks « WordPress Codex Best of luck |

I just type the following into the "Custom Structure" box at the bottom of the main options- /%postname%/ This will add the blog title to the end of your URL, without including any unnecessary numbers or other useless characters. |

If I try to change from default to the day and name (not even custom) - it breaks my links. (?)
