"What's happening in the blog world"

I know a couple other blog/web forums have a sub-board for newsy items. I'm always coming here with the intent of posting something that's going on in the blogosphere, but then half the time I get side-tracked because I don't know where to put it. And I hate filling the lounge with things that 'are' relevant to blogging, but don't fit anywhere else.

I can't remember if there used to be a sub-forum here for that sort of thing and it was removed....but it's something to consider. It's popular elsewhere, so you this place might benefit from it.

We had News from the Blogosphere but it was turning into contest spam city with no news so I took it away and made a contest section in Classifieds. Any suggestions?

Right, contests now have their own section, so it shouldn't be that much of an issue any more, should it?

I know I thought of it once I posted. I'm going to make a "NEWS" area this weekend and try and move the news from lounge to News.

I just made Blogosphere News

I moved over 19 threads but I'm sure there are more. If you see a thread that belongs in news let me know I'll move it. I think it's a great idea and glad you brought up now that I set it up. Would be cool if this place became a daily read to find the latest and greatest stories from the blogosphere at large.

That being said I'm making a rule that you cannot submit a story to the Blogging News section if you authored it. This should avoid problems from the get go.
