Yeah it's actually 15 now. You hit the nail no the head though. Another reason is that to get to 15 posts spam bots will be detected in fact most will give up when they realize they can't post. Also you're judged by who you link too. Good net citizens don't link to shady neighborhoods. Forums not well managed are susceptible to abuse and that is why so many spam gangs target them with such fury.

So 15 posts for signatures, where do I update the 'recent blog' field under my username - or is this available after a certian # of posts as well?
