By the way, given your reply, my curiousity got to me, and I clicked on the link to your blog. I'm totally impressed at how dedicated you to your blog. You've been at it for YEARS. I'm only 7 months into blogging at it feels like forever. I loved your "About" section, and I' agree with you the SEO doesn't really matter - Just produce the content you love and everything else will work itself out.
Somewhere in "show off your blog" forum I have a thread about my blog. I've posted lots of posts in 7 months on a variety of topics, but my niche is REALLY narrow. You have to like Starbucks! LOL.

Hi Melody!
My point before was talking to the OP about how he simply signed up and the first thing he was saying was, "Visit my blog." But he didn't say why. Which is what I was meaning.

There was no lead in. Why should I visit?
It was my method of getting the OP to focus on better marketing. The show off your blog thread specifically has that purpose to check things out of course, but just to say, "Please visit" doesn't say much about the blog.
If someone wants me to visit a blog, they could at least tell me why. Is it about race cars? Did you just blog about getting stuck by lightning? Are you going to tell me the secret to making incredibly incredible zombie reanimating powder? (If that's the case, I'd love to see it!)
Thanks for visiting my blog.

I'm in the middle of a redesign. I've been an
SEO writer for the past few years, and I know the tricks. It's helpful to do
SEO but it means nothing without good content to keep people there.
And yeah, I've been blogging a long time.

Only recently trying to really get readers in or promoting it.
Off to visit yours!
