Seems I am unable to post new threads in the "Show off your blogs" forum. Am I supposed to do something before my account can post there?

Read the rules and make 15 quality, non-spam posts. Then wait at least 20 minutes while the system adjusts before trying to post.

Ah, that's something that needs to be fixed. We have made a few changes here at Bloggeries to try to combat the ridiculous amounts of spam that we were getting.

Just a few more posts and you'll be able to show off your blog.

Any measures to reduce awful spam are good IMO. I've seen two other blogging forums that have either shutdown or are inundated with rubbish.
