How Do You Upload Themes?

Hi,

I see there are lots of fantastic themes on this board...I know how to download them put how do you exactly put them up on Wordpress?

After downloading, I see there are lots of files, and some coding. Do I need to upgrade my WordPress account to a Custom CSS account first? I believe that costs $15? And will I be needing a host for all of this as well? I didn`t realize how complicated all this stuff was until now lol.

Oh! Wait a sec, I think I got it...or do I? lol

So, it`s WordPress.org that I should be going to not WordPress.com

In WordPress.org they have "plugins" (I don`t know what those are) and I can upload themes there?!?

But WordPress costs money? Or you need a host?

Wordpress is free. When you find a host if they have cpanel(a common administration interface). So don't worry about that. Themes are free to. If it doesn't have cpanel you can still install wordpress for free.

So do I simply get a host, like these ones:

and then I`m set? Downloading themes is fairly easy, right? And is $6.95 a month for a host and free .com domain a fair price?

Yeah. I'd go with hawkhost.com though. Get the $3.47 a month one. It has cpanel then use fantastico to install it. Also some others mentioned here. Best Hosting Comapany for WordPress
