Default Target Blank for Posts and Comments

Basically ads the target="_blank" to all outgoing links on posts and comments. Some would say not recommended as some users get annoyed by having a new window pop up. Some due to slow computers others just don't like it.

WordPress › Target Blank in Posts and Comments « WordPress Plugins

Flip side is with this plugin you keep people on your blog when they are done reading the link...

Feedback from anyone using this?

I certainly was looking for this type of plugin,as a didnot ever wanted to loose my visitors. As per the user experience is concerned, many forums out there (maybe this one too),is using such feature. So it really dont matter. It would be a good idea overall to install it.

I've not used this but it sounds like it could be worth a look. It would be handy if it was customizable to just comments etc.

I'm not using it because a) I normally do it automatically by habit and b) some are saying now it's better to give the web surfer the option. A savvy surfer knows the commands... Sometimes they may not want a new window. I know when I"m at a friends w/ SLOW CPU I dread the new window.

I think I remember reading that you should never make the mind of the visitor up for them. If they want a new window they'll figure out how to do that or if your site was appealing enough they'll find their way back.

Oh yeah, leave it to your reader to decide if they want a new window. Especially since browsers can now set up to automatically do it, if that's what the person wants.
