The best wordpress plugin a blogger can have is Tiger Administration. This plugin makes your wordpress admin area professional quality so you don't have to waste any time. This plugin has increased my productivity and is way easy on the eyes. Take a look at the screenshot below:

Unfortunately the Tiger Admin plugin doesn't work with Wordpress 2.1 and above. I use Spotmilk to theme my admin though.

The best Wordpress plugin has to be the Bad Behavior spam filter. You never take spam for granted until after you turn this plugin off. The Akismet spam filter may be good, but this blocks spammers from actually accessing your blog to begin with.

Then again, I use a shit load of Wordpress plugins on my blog to begin with so I've got no real preference. The complete list with the links can be found here.

Bad Behavior? As far as I know in this latest version. No. This is meant as a first line defense against spam, effectively blocking out about 90% which are automated spam. The other 10% is handled by Akismet. Only very few spam get through and are easily dealt with.

I'm still a fan of the original admin wordpress theme. I tried this tiger one but it didn't float my boat. More power to ya if you love it! :c)

Hmmm. I think at the moment, my favorite is actually the articles plugin. I like a nice place-holder for my better posts, since it helps keeps them from getting lost in the archives.
