I find that the wdiget capability and editing html in blogger makes it very easy to use.

Blogger would be really nice if Google didn't "own" all your posts. Anything you post on Google blogger is owned by google. I want to own what I write.

Taken from the Blogger terms of agreement:

Google claims no ownership or control over any Content submitted, posted or displayed by you on or through Google services. You or a third party licensor, as appropriate, retain all patent, trademark and copyright to any Content you submit, post or display on or through Google services and you are responsible for protecting those rights, as appropriate.

You 'do' own your content. They do have their own rights laid out in terms of, for example, displaying your 'public' content on their Google services "for the purpose of displaying and distributing Google services" and they reserve the right to refuse to display your content (like if you're breaking their ToS). What you write, your words, your photos, etc, are all yours.

I have to say that for a new blogger WordPress might be easier as Blogger has some glitches now that require coding knowledge to fix.

I'll be honest and say I haven't even tried the new editor. I've gotten so used to using Scribefire and its features that I don't have much interest in it. I've read about the new Amazon affiliate section, though, and that's kinda cool (although I'm sure you disagree, Nathan, since you have your own script you want people to use for that, hehe).

I am actually going to write a post about that. I think that overall it is a good thing. It is good that bloggers should be introduced to Amazon Affiliate. When it comes down to it, though, I am confident that they will still use Amazon Affiliate Script because my system has a few better features such as being truly dynamic.

Standard Amazon ads are static. My ads, on the other hand, stay up to date with the current most popular products. For example if you make an ad around the keyword "snuggie" it will always show the latest, best selling Snuggie products.

In contrast standard Amazon ads such as the ones made by the new Blogger integration will always show the same product even if it goes out of date or even stops being manufactured.

In addition my ads are dynamic in that they always show prices in the visitors local currency, and they link to the visitors local Amazon store rather than just linking to the US store.

Overall Affiliate Script is still better.

Wordpress with the webhosting of your choice is the best choice you can make.
