My blog is with blogger right now, but there's a very good chance that I'll be switching over.

I have used blogger for a start up blog, just to see how it works. Then I purchased a domain name and hosting and installed good ole wordpress. I can say I love the script. If I was to use a free blog provider, I'd go with wordpress now, not blogger

Anyone who is considering changing should do so before you build things like pagerank and a bunch of back links. You lose all of those when you change your domain. |

Blogger is a good starting point...or was for me. When I first started I just did a personal journal type thing and when I got a little more involved and found out how limited I was ....that was when I discovered WP and I have never looked back.

I think any platform you start out with will do just fine. They all seem to have many of the same tools. After you get your feet wet, then it's time to look into the real power behind blogging and a SELF HOSTED WP site is the only way to go.
