Archivist for Blogger

I am looking for an addon/widget like Archivist, but for Blogger: Archivist

I know there's a "feeling lucky" text link that Bloggers can add and visitors can click to get a random post from the blog but that is 'not' what I want.

I also remember seeing on a blog once where they had a small section between their banner and their first post. It had a few picture thumbnails pulled from random posts that viewers could click on to take them to that particular post. This would be cool, too, but I don't remember the site I saw it on to check their coding.

If anyone knows where to I can find the widget or the HTML code for it, it'd be great. I can read/understand/edit HTML, but designing exactly what I want is out of my skill level...or maybe patience and time level at least, lol.
