I've heard great things as well about that pack. Typically I always just adjust the permalinks manually.

Freediver: Do you do any other manual mods besides that? If so do you mind sharing?

Yes it is important to check your blog headline tags. For example many themes do not have proper hierarchy of H tags. You can check by looking at the code or some of the tools from my webmaster essentials checklist.

Another thing that is overlooked is Wordpress saves the file name of your post as a number,

There is also an option to save the post as the name of the title. You can find it under admin - options - permalinks.

I make sure that is one of the things I change in all of the blogs I manage because a keyword rich title = a keyword rich file name = a $ rich Bruce hehe just kidding, about the rich part that is, but the rest is true.

I've been thinking of trying the SEO pack. I was in fact looking it over today. I am not so tech savvy, so having a plug-in do it for me sounds very desirable to me. I think I may try it tomorrow.

You install it as a plugin in Wordpress
Heres' the steps.

1. Download it
2. Unzip it.
3. Upload it to your plugin directory.
4. Next in Wordpress activate it in the plugin from the setup area.
5. Fill it full of keywords.
6. Reap in the rewards of getting your site higher in Google for your keywords.
