What's your favorite browser and why?

I love Firefox—it has so many addons and it supports most CSS.

I use Firefox but nearly everyone else at work (50+ people)use Internet Explorer.

I know a few people that use chrome and safari but Firefox and IE seem to be the big ones.

Safari for me mostly because it's the default browser on my mac but, I like the layout and the top sites feature that it has. Add-ons are coming as well.

I've used Safari a bit—it seems pretty good with CSS and Javascript. Add-ons for Safari would be cool, but I don't think I could ever stop using Firefox.

Firefox is definitely my favorite for the reasons you've mentioned. Safari is good too and I'm also fond of Google Chrome. Pretty much everything but IE...

Since I work with web design I keep every browser on my desktop for checking cross-browser compatibility.

I haven't tried Google Chrome… I'd like to but my computer doesn't run it.

A site I've found useful for testing browser compatibility is browsershots.org. You just type in the url and it loads the screenshots for the selected browsers. Really cool.

I did use both Safari and Google Chrome, but I have had issues with both so when I got a new computer I just stuck to IE.

I use Chrome, but sometimes I use Firefox too. I like the sleek design and the speed of Chrome. Now, FF 4.0 Beta 1 is trying to make it's design somewhat similar to Chrome, but the Beta is full of bugs at the moment.
