What are your MUST HAVE add-ons, widgets, or edits?

One thing I put on my blog is a hit-counter. If you go to
Blog Counter | Free Website Counter - blog-hit-counters.com
you can get either a visitor-counter or hit-counter. They look brilliant! All you do is add a new HTML/JavaScript widget and then paste the code in that you get on the site.

I prefer SiteMeter. They have professional looking counters. For anonymous counting, I would go for StatCounter (I use both for my blog)

The latest widget that really impressed me was linkwithin, made it disappear on the homepage, but when clicking on article page it showsup. About 10-20% click for another article. Soo for my blog it works.

And google analytics for over 1 year now

And facebook fanpage works great

And google search on the page

I use a facebook-style chat toolbar called Envolve. It lets you chat with all the people on the site. Sort of like Wibiya's chat except easier to use and better for group chats. It can be used in Blogger: Blogger Chat Toolbar - Envolve

I have added a toolbar to the bottom of my blog which can have loads of different things on it and very easy to edit. I definitely recommend it
