I sorta forgot we had a subforum specifically for Blogger or I would've posted more of the news before now. Blogger in Draft now lets you create static pages. One of the biggest complaints I hear Blogger users fuss about not having that Wordpress users have, are static pages. You know, pages such as "About Me" pages that aren't just random posts, but real separate pages? Yep, Blogger has them now. Just use the Blogger in Draft (still working out bugs) dashboard or wait until they integrate it into the main dashboard. Blogger in Draft: Pages come to Blogger In Draft ![]()

Ooh! Ooh! The lack of this is the only reason that I've ever regretted using Blogger. All those "fake static" pages dated ten years ago look really silly in my archive. Thanks for announcing it.

Yeah, exactly! The "fake static" pages worked okay, but it's really nice to have the real thing finally.

What do you mean new lines don't publish? I have 2 different static pages, and they both allow new lines. I have one for a privacy policy and one for a links page. I have edited them in both html and in the wysiwyg editor. I haven't had any issues with it at all. |

Yeah, some people are having a few issues here or there, mostly when using customized themes, but they seem to be getting the bugs worked out.

It's nice, but is there any way to get more than 10 pages? I'm been hesitant to use many because of that! |

wow, I can't believe they just now added this I've built blogs where 90% of our content is on static pages I always host my own wordpress blogs, but the lack of this option in blogger would of driven me mad..lol

What are you wanting more than 10 static pages for, Inspirational? And I've seen site owners who made up their entire sites using the Wordpress platform before, but those were never really "blogs" either, which is what Blogger tends to imply is the main use. I'm kinda surprised they didn't have 'any' option for it before now, but I can see why they don't see much reason for having more than 10.

I was a little grumpy about the restriction for ten pages, but I actually couldn't think of a scenario where I'd need more than ten. I think that if I went that far, I'd just go create a companion website, instead of trying to use Blogger for both blog and website.
