| Trying to do that now. How do you do it? In the Dashboard it says the "admin" username cannot be changed. Is there a way around that?

As a first-time, baby blogger, ThisOldMan salutes you. Wish I had read this before I started. Could have saved me quite a few aspirins. Thank you again.

1. In the Users area create a new user with your chosen name, password and email. 2. Assign the role Administrator to this new user. 3. Log out of your Wordpress dashboard. 4. Log in with your new user name. 5. In the Users area you will now be able to delete the old admin username. As you do it will give you an option to assign all posts to your new username, so agree to that and everything will look tickety-boo! Hope that helps |

Thanks for the great advice here. I am going to read every one of these. I have (finally) started a WordPress blog, and now it's time to customize it. I appreciate this help a lot. Now to copy it and use it...
