Big Changes Coming for Blogger. ;)

As we turn ten, we wanted to give you some presents to commemorate this milestone and thank you for letting us be part of your story. Over the next several weeks we will be releasing a number of new features on Blogger. Some presents are because you asked for them this spring. Other presents are because they meant a lot to us.

This is going to be great! I already know what one feature is going to be because its was at my request it and they gave me secret advance access, but I can't wait to see what the others are.

This is going to be fun.

Remember a few months ago when they had the Google Product Suggestion drive for Blogger? Most of those top rated suggestions, the ones with hundreds of "yes" responses are going to be implemented.

I was lucky to get in early and make a good suggestion. Then a major blogging blog picked up on it and featured my suggestion in a post about the Google Product Suggestion opportunity. So I ended up getting hundreds of votes on the suggestion.

Anyway, I suggested built-in stats for Blogger, like they have in WordPress. Currently Blogger users have to go to Google Analytics or some separate outside service to see their web stats. Soon though, these statistics will be built right in to your dashboard.

It is still Google Analytics powered but it simplifies the process of putting external codes on the blog.

Thats a great idea, I actually came on here today to ask how people currently moniter their stats so I will just wait for this to be implemented.

Any idea when they're actually going to start releasing some of the changes. I'm kind of out of the loop on this stuff now, lol.
