Question Making a Logo?

Hey! I wanna make a really awesome logo for my blog. I've got a few ideas, but I'm wondering if there are any good online photo editors/logo makers you guys have used and would recommend.

Also, I was wondering if it's okay to use fonts you have on your computer to make a logo. It may sound like a dumb question, but I don't wanna get in trouble with copyright issues.

Any suggestions?

I think the best Logo Creation tool that I have found to date is:

Web2.0 - Logo Creatr

However, I've even moved away from that in favor of plain text logos. You can do interesting things with plain text and it will load faster than an image logo.

But I've also designed a few image logos such as the one I use as my avatar on this forum.

I agree with Nathan on the plain text logo, and I don't see an issue with using the fonts on your computer. I mean it might be an issue if you ever decide to put it on items you might sell (tshirts, caps, mousepads)

Also you could google "top free fonts designers", and check out the first link provided it has 40 awesome fonts there. Plus there are tons of free fonts out there that are very well designed.

would post the link but I'm 2 shy of my 15. lol

I like a good logo, so why not get something unique that makes your blog stand out? The first place I would look is the Digital Point forum in the contest area. There are many logo designers that can whip up a sweet logo for under $20.

If you want to do it for free, you are going to be limiting yourself, but there are plenty of places to look. The link provided above is a good start. You might also find a logo maker that is FREE but might require a link back to their site.

Many options in my opinion, just search Google like RickHedge said. The deal with the font isn't that huge. Fonts are distributed freely among the web, so don't hesitate to use them for your logo.

Here is the link I couldn't post earlier for the free Fonts

I don't know if this legal on the forum or not, however I am a graphic designer and would be willing to help out if you want.

Digital Points forum contest thing is a joke IMO, no offense to sukosaki, but many of the people who frequent that from what I have seen the last few days are amateurs. Although you might get lucky.
