Default Interlinking your posts/pages

I have a question, want to ask cos i am kinda ignorant about it.

I heard that interlinking your posts to one another really helps your google PR. What i want to know is how i would interlink it. Is it the normal linking, or do i have to put any no-follow thing to prevent it from being seen as duplicate?

Once again pls pardon my ignorance.

Basically, this just means linking to one of your own posts from another of your posts.

There is nothing special involved.

You don't have to use nofollow.

The extra post links just create a more dynamic and connected blog, boosting page views per visitor and distributing PR more efficiently through your blog.

Yep, Nathan covered it and it's really easy to do in a natural way. Just refer back to something you've written before every now, and toss the link in from that previous post. You don't have to go out of your way to do it.

Also, it can help to go back and edit older posts to include links to newer, relevant content. If that makes sense.

Very true. Not only does it give you an easy backlink, but anyone that stumbles across that post will have motivation to click through to another one of your posts.

You can also use it as a means to respond to particularly lengthy comments by linking to the old post and writing your reply, quoting the comment. Writing long comments don't seem to format as well as long bloggeries.

Internal linking in your site has high importance in Yahoo. But do it in natural way.

Yes, if possible always try and link to an old post. It can be difficult at times, especially if you have a couple hundred posts, but really helps with the SEs and also human navigation.

That's the great thing about Bloggeries, guys. We're all at different levels of blogging and we all know and question different things. Never be afraid to ask questions around here because it's likely someone else is wondering the same thing!
