Buy Me A Beer Plugin - Acceptable or Panhandling and Begging?

Lots of people throughout the blogosphere are saying they are "offended" by the Buy me a Beer plugin saying it's panhandling begging or worse.

Personally I'm not offended easily and definitely not by the plugin. Blogging takes time and if someone appreciates why not buy a beer? I think people have the right to chose and frankly I think it's kinda cool.

What are your thoughts?

Why should it be any different than a donatio button

I will call it a donation button with spunk and personally i seems to have much success with it than a normal donation button

Do you know where I can find donation buttons for blogger (blogspot) ? The one mentioned here is for Wordpress.

Part of the reason I did it was to prove the point that if you don't have these types of plugins or a donation box than how will anyone ever reward you if you see fit? As long as it's not too intrusive on each post I don't see a problem with the mod and think it's clever.

Sorry for not replying earlier, I was out first thing in the morning to get a bottle of the precious liquid, thanks to our friend kiviniar Then, one thing lead to another and some pancakes were made... You know !
