I'm grateful, too. I hadn't started submitting my own stuff yet since I'm such a newbie, so this saved me from embarassment!

This is partly the reason you see so many people wanted to exchange stumbles and diggs and etc. Good article for the noobs.

It's crazy how if you get something submitted by a certain person; that person becomes interested in promoting it as well. Social Media rocks.

I publicly admit guilt. Thanks for posting this.
Though I only selfsubmitted those I saw worth of submitting, not the junk. But I promiss to do better!

And I will do an extra effort of submitting good stuff from others, even though I made it a point to include a long blogroll on my blog (as actual links, not as a widget), so it helps those blogs I like on their backlinking (and on their pagerank).

There is a social person in me!

Submitting good stuff to massive social media networks is a great idea to get YOU on the front page as well. There is often an avatar of the submitter and always a link to profile. It's the reward for submitting something good.

Glad this was helpful to you,

Not the end of the world but it doesn't look as authentic; that's for sure

Ouch. I do my own Digg submissions (), but I usually let others do the rest of the networks. I don't do it for all my posts, just the ones I think people would be interested in. Mostly I hate putting up the Digg button with the Submit option... it seems like that would deter people, since they know they would have to make a new submission vs. just clicking the button to digg it and not having to go to another site.
