Has anyone thought to customise their facebook profile for blogging?

Two applications you can add to your facebook profile are:

RSS Feed Reader - Display your blogs RSS feed on your facebook profile.

Blogroll - Add a blogroll with up to 10 links on your facebook profile. Looks great in the left column. Interlink with all your friends to get maximum exposure.

Anyone have any others?

I didn't realise you could add the RSS feed to your facebook profile - I'll have to check that out. Now, I have multiple blogs - will it cater for more than one? Guess I better go look! Thanks for sharing this.

Rather than messing with your profile, just get your own page. Pages are 1) open to search engines, and 2) don't require approval of people who join. Those who join are "fans" rather than "friends".

You can put apps and other things on your page as well. This is the page I made: Everything Everywhere | Facebook

I just found a cool WP plugin called WordBook that will update your mini-feed and your friends news feeds every time you post. If you post a lot, that may not be the best thing, but it's worth a try!

I added RSS Feed but never realize there is a blogroll features,will add it now.

I should make a fan page. I'm going to do that or at least put it on the TO - DO - SOON list. FWIW putting stuff on your profile is still a good idea. If you have enough friends... You will get some traffic. I am seeing it more and more in my referrer stats.

I just re-visted facebook yesterday, I didn't know that either! Oh..the horror, so many social sites to learn, so little mocha latte's to keep me going!

If you've got a lot of Friends on Facebook who don't know about your blog (or who don't think to check it regularly), yes, it can help.
