Digg: general or specific?

I definitely haven't had much success... I get a couple of people to digg each of my posts, and I get maybe 2-3 visitors from there (max) a day. That's why I was wondering if the other way would be better, but I guess not.

After I posted, I was thinking about this - and now that I think about it, it doesn't need to be just one or another.

Many will bookmark the site itself and others might bookmark specific articles. Might end up having more diggs of the main site and some for some of your specific posts...

You're right; people who like your site will just digg the main page. Adding a digg this to each post definitely makes it easier and since most users are lazy and selfish to some extent you want to make it as easy as possible for them to help you out / vote for you.
