Yer kidding right? MBL as a traffic source?

Can't speak for everyone's niches, but the profiles we manage vary and none of them send enough traffic to worry about MBL beyond making a profile, whcking the widget on the site and moving on.

I have like 250 or so members in mine even, never seen more than 10 uniques in a day from it.

I think it is more about avatar branding than anything so that when U surf other sites on a regular basis in the niche, folks get to know yer avatar and relate it with your blog... but direct traffic? Not enough to go hard at it...

I get almost no traffic from MBL either. Not even signed up at BlogCatalog. I do have MBL added on HomeBizBlogger but that's just because it came with it.

I'm signed up at both mybloglog and blogcatalog and there was days I got more then 300 hits from mybloglog... I get barely nothing from blogcatalog but it seems to be getting better!

300? How active were you. Were you adding people; sending messages etc?

Glad I read this post, I was jsut off to sign up there to try and get more traffic. Might test it out on one blog first.

Like anything just having a profile and being "active" in a social community are 2 different things. Do you have MBL? If not try it out you'll see that you can interact with other bloggers, message them; join groups have them join yours etc...

I have a widget on my website that displays all of the latest members to browse my website from mybloglog. I have built a pretty solid booking of viewers and whenever I see a new one come by I usually send them a message and friend them on MyBlogLog... I think it has helped my credibility. I always get like a half dozen members every day coming from there to see what I have to say. That's good enough for me as long as they are really reading what I have to say.

I have just installed it on my site.. I'll try to do what you guys have suggested, join groups, message members and visit their blogs..
