Not for my account specifically, bots that run and perform some sort of service. Kind of like the ones here, but not.

That's a cool list. If you're capable of coding that. Think of a blog tool you'd love and I"ll pay you to code it maybe

Yeah, thats usually what I do, figure out a little something that I can see myself using and write it... My ideas right now are a little lacking though.
The only things I've got are things like the old fashion Chatbots- Send is a message and it will roll dice for you and the like- or something like a group system, you send it a message (@groupbot new group, Bloggeries) and it will create a group named Bloggeries. It responds with a code (kinda like tinyurl does, a similar looking code). Have everyone you want in the group track that code, and then to send messages to the entire group just type in "@groupbot Bloggeries, Blah Blah Blah", and it would respond with "<code>, Blah Blah Blah," which would make it so that everyone tracking that code would get the message. I'm not quite sure if that would be all that used though, so I'm a little hesitant to make it, that conceptually seems like quite a bit of coding, especially if it isn't really going to get used. Something else I'm considering doing is writing a script to collect the entirety of the everyone rss feed and letting it run for a week or two. I can only imagine what you could do with that kind of information, it would certainly give a good idea of what all twitter is being used for.

Interesting concept but it would take a lot of coding. It's odd how online you have to keep track of time because it's very easy to put into not so productive things. Then again most great things showed no output forever then came the big bang. Dunno.

Eh, the big problem with that is it would be too easy to abuse, and I doubt it would get much actual use because of that. I'll think of something.
One feature I would like to see though is the ability to filter tracks by language. I'm tracking a number of different things, and often get messages to my IM in languages I just don't understand.

That would be useful. If you get on twitter EARLY morning the everyone tab is like a foreign language class.

Yeah, its really gotten so bad I've had to take a couple of the more common ones off.
As a plus, I did get a response on another forum, with an idea for a decent bot. In World of Warcraft there are certain quests, the target of which changes every day. Simply have that pulled from someone every day and updated.

Having been on twitter since ~7am I can say that its best used in spurts instead of constantly. Still working the theory though

Huh. I know I normally just update several times a day, and then I've got it running in IM form in the background all the time, which I'll sometimes respond to.

Will take some time to build up a following I think. Problem is getting your name out to others not just those you chose to follow.
