I have done some research on the top 10 costliest Make Money Blogs on EntreCard. The results speak for themselves. Find out where to market your blog with my research that compares the stats of the top 10 blogs. The chart that I made will hopefully allow you to make a more informed decision when you purchase your next ads on EntreCard. Please let me know what you think.

The problem is that the price of a site is dependent on Entercard traffic, and much of the data you use is also a function of Entrecard traffic. If those sites stopped dropping cards, their Alexa rank would plummet and most of their Technorati ranking is due to Entrecard. They aren't independent variables. That being said, I don't fault them for making the most of Entrecard. It doesn't make their Alexa or Technorati rank any less legitimate. It just means you need to take it with a grain of salt when evaluating how good a bargain they are for the credits. I think a better measure would be to check their PW traffic, if they have a PW ad. |

I agree with you. The only problem with PW is that not all of them have it. As a matter of fact, only a few of them do so the results would be even more biased. I actually looked at doing my little study that way at first but then realized that it would not be possible.

Interesting post. I'd like to know more about PW, are they also brings traffic to any blog who displays their ads?

I assume you're referring to Project Wonderful by PW. If that is indeed the case, no, you won't get many hits on your site from placement of their ads. I've gotten a handful over all the time I've used them, and those are mostly by people interesting in advertising on my site. What you do get is a good, fair ad box. You don't get paid per hit, or per page load, or any nonsense like that. The advertisers get to see some basic stats about the ad box, how many hits/unique hits a day the box gets, and I believe the average price of the box, both over a month. They then bid however much they think your ad box is worth, and you get the money. |

When purchasing an advertisement, I usually check to see how long a wait it is to get the ad instead of the cost of purchasing the ad. A longer wait indicates that more people are paying to get advertisement on that person's widget, so it is a better indicator than using the cost. Some people have a high priced ad, but they are chain droppers so their ad price is inflated.
