Has anyone been kicked out of AdSense because of EntreCard?

I signed up for EntreCard and after using it a little bit it seems a bit like a traffic exchange, which is against Google AdSense ToS. I've already gotten a shot across the bow because of my activity with BlogExplosion, and I don't want a repeat of that.

Just curious.

I have not heard of anything so far. Plus, I'm sure those 4,000+ members ALL use adsense. It I wouldn't say it's a "traffic exchange" because technically you are paying for it, but instead of money, it's with earned credits.

I do recall reading recently someone was declined for an adverstising program because of entrecard and they did not like the bounce rate.

I think that had more to do with a private advertiser saying he isn't interested as the bounce rate is to high on the site and preferred to advertise on sites that predominantly got organic.

Personally I don't think it would be a problem but I don't claim to be an expert in ANY services TOS...

That would be the one Rob! I have a memory like swiss cheese! I dont know 'naught about advertising.. just think of the questions I would have if I venture into that avenue.

I was always wondering why on the front page it said something like "Join 4199 other blogs". I always thought that was an incredibly small growth rate but it makes sense now.

I've never seen a SPLOG on Entrecard and I think as long as it upholds it's strict barriers to entry. (Quality only) it shouldn't have a problem.

Same debate happens in directory industry. If you have NO editorial integrity the site becomes a FFA (Free For All) Link farm yet if that same site only accepts quality relevant sites it's a useful relevant directory.

Unless you're making tons of money from Google Adsense, it shouldn't really matter. There are plenty of other options to make money online. If you look at a lot of A-list bloggers, they probably don't have Adsense displayed.
