If you could suggest one social network or media site over any other, what would it be? Why? And what's a good tip, trick, suggestions, etc. you would have for said site/media. |

I reckon it depends on the kind of website/blog you want to promote, I got a video blog, and depending on the type of video, i'd submit it to different networks, some might be suitable for twitter, some beter suited to facebook. I really think that before bicking a network to promote your blog, you really need to check who are your friends en fb and who follows you on twitter and see how relevant it is to their interest.

To me, Facebook doesn't feel like it was designed for sharing content on a large scale. I personally prefer Twitter...
Using Facebook, it just feel like it's fighting me. They change the layout and UI so often that it puts me off using it. Plus the navigation system isn't very intuitive. The sooner it dies the better. |

| You've made me laugh there xD But ye I agree with you, i don't like facebook very much either, but down the line my links get shared and liked much more often on facebook than RTed on twitter, so I get about three times more traffic from fb than from twitter. It's a shame really coz i wish I could just close my facebook account and be done with this crap but there are so many people on it that at the end of the day, if you are in the right niche you can get insame traffic from facebook.

Addition to above, I absolutely agree with the point but if you want to use social media as promotional purpose then FaceBook is on the top till now, as 80% social media users still captured by Facebook. And it really work out by putting energies there.

Im not a facebook fan myself. but for the promotion of my photo studio it is the best. twitter is more blog social, in my opinion. I do get more hits from twitter than facebook. I agree though facebook while its the top social site, it should die.

I use Facebook a lot, but not so much for blog readership, although my blogs do post there. I will have to vote with Twitter. I have found some readers there, and also some neat blogs I enjoy reading too. I find some good ideas for blog posts on both sites. |

My personal opinion is stumble upon. Why ? Once I posted a post I'll get more hits from stumble upon. |

I'd suggest Facebook to be honest. It's a lot easier to get fans for your page as there are a ridiculous amount of users. Updating, editing and personalising content is so easy
