Default Are you on Twitter, Facebook, Digg or StumbleUpon?

I'm wondering, where do bloggers spend most of their time online and how do they use social networks or bookmarking sites to promote their blog?

Do you tweet out or share your latest blog post on Twitter and Facebook? Do you Digg or StumbleUpon it instead?

Let us know which sites or networks that you are most active on and tell us why you are (or not) using it market your blog.

P.S. Can someone add a poll to this thread with the following values? I don't know how to do it here. Thanks.
  1. Twitter
  2. Facebook
  3. Digg
  4. StumbleUpon
  5. None

I more or less understand how Twitter and Facebook works but I'm completely clueless when it comes to Digg and StumbleUpon.

Could you elaborate more on those two compared to Twitter and Facebook since you are familiar with all of them? Thanks!

I'm on all 4 sites
However, Facebook is by far getting me much more traffic than Digg & StumbleUpon
Twitter is a close second

Some people though know how to get thousands of hits out of Digg & StumbleUpon. They are always able to get enough votes for their pages that they always turn on the front page.

That's the thing I'm trying to understand. With Twitter and Facebook, it's more like sharing the stuff you find interesting. But with Digg and StumbleUpon, it's more like getting votes for it. Am I right to say that?

Yep, exactly
In all 4 sites, you need to have a good amount of followers, if you really want to get serious traffic
But getting followers in Digg & StumbleUpon seems like a difficult task (at least for me)

I use all of them, but Twitter is my favorite. I use Twitterfeed to automatically publish my posts to Twitter and Facebook. I don't really care for FB, especially when it comes to fan pages, so I use Selective Tweets to publish my tweets on FB, which means I almost never need to log onto FB to write on my wall!

I don't really use Digg and StumbleUpon very much, except for submitting my new posts.

Here are some links to my pages if you'd like to check them out. I always like new followers!

Twitter
Facebook
Digg
StumbleUpon

Thanks for your insights. I hope we can all learn more about how to use Digg and StumbleUpon effectively.

Thanks, RabidReptile. Twitter and Facebook seems like a universal social networking site that almost anyone would have an account in, I guess.

As for Digg and StumbleUpon, is it really okay to submit your own blog post there? I mean, isn't that like voting for your own blog post?

So far, everyone who has replied here has accounts in all four sites. What about the other guys here?

I thought I'd try that twitter feed. How long does it take to work? So far I have FB/Twitter. I really didn't realize how much work there is to do in getting all this stuff going. I need a vacation from my vacation. This info in here is really great though, I've learned more here than any other place so far. But then again, I'm just now getting into it!

Twitterfeed should start working automatically. You can also use Feedburner for the same purpose.

I know what you mean about how much work it is! It takes a lot of time to keep up with so many websites!
