I hate Twitter

I've decided that I hate twitter. At first it was sort of fun and neat. Then it became sort of interesting. Then it became incredibly tiresome. Then it became boring. Now, I simply hate it. I'm waiting for someone to offer to buy my twitter account for the right offer...

How do you feel about twitter?

I'm just starting to get a hang of it, but it has a lot of potential. Over the past few months, Twitter has been the fastest growing site on the Internet, so something to think about before you go and abandon it.

If I were you, I'd stick with it since it's one of fastest growing sites. I personally never use twitter at all but I do have an acct where it can alerts my followers whenever I update my blog.

I get good hits directly from twitter to my blog right after I update so can't complain.

I use Twitter but find the signal to noise ratio a little overwhelming.

Not sure I really get it... tweets seem to me to be just like facebook status updates, some can be worth following but there's an awful lot of "just had a cup of tea" or "thinking of going for a walk..." I must be missing something...

The ratio between quality tweets and spammy/advertising/porn tweet users is pretty pathetic. It is hard to find decent people to follow.

I have to agree with that. I used to love Twitter, but now I find it rather obnoxious when I accidentally follow someone spammy. Of course, I un-follow when I realize this, but in the meantime when I open my application it takes forever to load up the tweets I've missed cause someone posted 100 in an hour or something stupid.

I honestly don't even have an account on Twitter. Would having an account really be helpful for my blog and if so how?

It's good but like MOST social media networks, you gotta ease into it. If you go too hard too fast you'll burn yourself out and get little results for effort. Heck, the whole web is like that!
