Are any of you using "Tweet This" on Your Blog and is it bringing you noticeably more traffic?

I think the idea of "Tweet This" on each blog is a great idea but just because its a great idea doesn't necessarily mean it will actually bring in noticeably more traffic. Are any of you using it and have you noticed significant increases in traffic?

Lol peaches, when you got the idea from me, you should've asked! Yes, I have gotten like around 15-30 more visitors from a few posts that I've had. That was in a day though. I don't know if they continually visit my site, but I do know that my traffic is growing every week and it's plugins like that which help out.

Truth is I don't know how to install a plug in!

It's really simple. If you have access to your wordpress dashboard (which I'm assuming you do) then just go to plugins. Search for a plugin that you want. Select that plugin that you want to install and click install. It should automatically install for you.

If you'd like to manually install, then you will need to access your website through an FTP program. Open up the wp-content folder and find the addons, then unzip the program folders in to there and you should have it installed after that.

Make sure to activate all of your plugins through the dashboard so you don't forget.

On 2.51 you have to upload before you can install Its not that there'sa big list that I can press install on unfortunately

If you can, try to get Wordpress 2.8. I don't know the technical differences between 2.8 and 2.5, but it should have better security and more features, as well as more support for addons (with a bigger selection). Don't forget to back up everything if you do it yourself.

Twitter is ANOTHER place to PROMOTE your blog entries. If you have content others WILL share, you will see additional traffic, just like submitting your posts to a forum, StumbleUpon, Digg, etc.

If you do not promote through twitter, you will never know what traffic it can generate.

I use Plurk, but I integrate Twitter with Plurk so that my Plurks shows up as Tweets as well.

I just figured out how to manually put in HTML A Link "Tweet this to a friend" (I do manually have to fill in the tiny url blog post) that when clicked will bring someone to Twitter with the Tiny URL listed and added this to my 10 highest viewed sites and some new blogs and waiting to see if I've got any major increase in Adsense and E-Commerce orders in the next few weeks. If I do, I'll pay to get the plug in uploaded and installed. It's a good idea on paper but just because it works on paper doesn't mean it will get you direct results in terms of more money!

I am using the Tweetmeme plugin on my blog. Well had a few hits from it, but nothing significant.
