Tweet bashing

Why all the hate on twitter, as well as the media crushing it lately always making fun of it. Its just like texting which everyone does, and its an easy way to make small updates.

Plus ironically, a lot of places whom made fun of, or kept on talking about twitter have their own twitter pages. What?

I don't get it.

Yeah, first I saw something about that being an impossible rumor, next thing I knew wired was talking about it. It seems it's just started talks about it, I wouldn't expect anything soon, then again things move fast. What I last read the other day could surely be old news now.

I think it has something to do with twitter being a micro blog. People thare are used to the full sized, do anything, post videos, post images - the people used to those types of blogs may not get what tweet is all about.

I suppose, but does that really mean it deserves negativity. If you don't like it sure, but I don't see what the big deal is.

Then again i suppose it was only a few years ago when people would constantly bash the ideas of blogs or bloggers and the media had their take on them. Now look where they are.

I really enjoy the use of twitter as a way to keep little micro updates on my blog, since I'm only a daily poster on there, and so to also have small snippets to go along helps I think. I don't know, I think it's a rather useful tool. I suppose everything has to prove it's self though.

I dont see a use for tweet, so I dont use it. I would rather people visit my main blog or my forum for updates.

If I had my pick between posting in a forum, or tweet - I'll pick the forum.

Forum > Tweet Any day. I agree.

But I think it has it's place as a mobile update. There are good blogger tools for tweeting, in fact I usually only use twitter to check for new blog posts and to update my blog with micro updates on my main blog with a twitter feed.

Because it's easy to make fun of, lol. Yes, I use Twitter, but it's easy to make fun of how some people use it.....or how much it's *constantly* down.

I really hate following the people who update things like "just ate a hamburger" "walking home" "watching tv" - and never post anything useful. If you follow the right people, Twitter really is a useful tool. You can learn a lot about a lot of different things just by reading the links that people post.
