More friends you have the higher the odds of SOME checking it out and of course the powerful RETWEET.

Comparing spikes in Twitter traffic and organic traffic, I'd say you can double what it says comes from twitter.com to get a real estimate of twitter traffic.
Was not aware but if that's the case twitter is much better than I had previously mentioned. That said it also depends on the site right? A forum is more friendly to social media folk than say a sales page for some wonder product.

Happy Traveling Gary,

Yep, I get a bit of traffic from there, but like others, I don't use it specifically for the traffic...

Hmmm, I didn't realize that about the twitter traffic vs organic traffic either. I wish I knew how many were actually coming from Twitter clients then.

Default Re: Twitter traffic

It does help I would say, a little traffic to my site I really wouldn't mind.

However, my main focus is to get the info running / collect ideas/ bonding with some like-minded people around the places. The most attractive factor about Twitter is the 'real-time' responses. Gosh, I can't even remember the last time I'm in Friendster (do people still use that?), Facebook (occasionally)..

Talking about another evolution of social media network.. But I still visit forums, that's another favourite place of mine to bond and learn about blogging. ^^ A little guilty for not coming here for awhile, was having some random logging prob, glad I try again today.

I also find twitter traffic to be some of the most social, fun and productive social media traffic out there. Kills everything else hands down for me. I (heart) twitter.
